Serversaurus has activated health and safety measures as part of our Business Continuity Plan to both protect our staff and ensure continuity of service for our customers
As you may be aware, on March 12th the World Health Organisation announced that the COVID-19 viral outbreak is now classified as a Pandemic. Over the weekend, the Federal and Victorian Governments have introduced measures designed to slow the spread of the virus, including restricting gatherings and encouraging social distancing measures.
Serversaurus has activated health and safety measures as part of our Business Continuity Plan to both protect our staff and ensure continuity of service for our customers. In this situation we feel our responsibility also extends to the friends and family of our staff and the wider community. We need to be part of a broad community effort to slow the spread of the virus and protect those more vulnerable to the virus.
Our staff are already equipped to work remotely. All methods of communication and remote access to our infrastructure have been in practice for several years. Commencing yesterday, 16th March, our staff are all working remotely. This will continue for at least the next two weeks, and likely longer.
Our datacentres, Micron21 in Melbourne and Over The Wire in Brisbane, have also activated similar measures as part of their Business Continuity Plans to protect their staff and ensure continuity of service.
We will continue to keep ourselves appraised of the situation. We encourage our customers to do the same, and review the latest information made available by the Australian Department of Health, and the Health Departments in your State.
