This article will guide you through the options available for connecting your domain with Serversaurus shared hosting
When you sign up for shared hosting with Serversaurus, you have number of options when it comes to the domain that you would like to use.
A domain name is necessary because it is the address that your hosting account will be associated with - and how you will be able to access your website.
Registration
If you want to register a new domain for use with your shared hosting, you can order one at the same time as ordering your hosting.
Your are able to view our Domain Registration Portal to look at the various TLDs we support and their pricing.
Transfer
If you have a domain registered at another registrar (such as GoDaddy, Melbourne IT etc), you can transfer the registration to Serversaurus.
This means that you will be able to manage both your hosting and domain registration through Serversaurus, and any future renewals will be through Serversaurus.
You can find pricing for transferring a domain within our Domain Transfer Portal.
Please note that in most cases, transferring the domain will extend its registration by exactly 1/2 years, but this may vary.
Updating an existing domain
If you already have a domain registered, and you don't wish to transfer it from its existing registrar (or the registrar is Serversaurus), you can just update the nameservers on the domain to:
ns1.serversaurus.com ns2.serversaurus.com ns3.serversaurus.com ns4.serversaurus.com
And that's all you need to do to connect your domain with our shared hosting.
