Network Firewall (I can’t access my services on a non-standard port)
This article outlines the common service ports open for accessing Serversaurus shared hosting
Traffic that comes through the Serversaurus Cloud network is filtered by a number of firewalls at the network boundary.
Ingress traffic TCP, UDP and ICMP traffic is allowed on a number of port ranges. Egress traffic is not limited in any way.
Please see below for a list of common service ports that we leave open globally:
- HTTP, HTTPS: TCP 80, 443
- DNS: TCP & UDP 53
- POP3: TCP 995
- IMAP: TCP 993
- SMTP: TCP 25
- SSH: TCP 22, 222
- WHM/cPanel: TCP 2083, 2086, 2096
- ICMP: Traceroute, Ping
We recommend that you run any custom services on these ports. If this is not possible, please contact us and we can arrange exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
